WASHINGTON, DC – House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), Energy and Power Subcommittee Chairman Ed Whitfield (R-KY), and Environment and the Economy Subcommittee Chairman John Shimkus (R-IL) issued the following statement in response to the EPA’s announcement today that it would not issue a rule setting Renewable Fuel Standard targets for 2014:
WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH) today introduced legislation to help protect drinking water from harmful algae blooms known as cyanotoxins.
WASHINGTON, DC – The House Energy and Commerce Committee today announced its hearing schedule for the week of November 17. The committee will review the administration’s Ebola response effort, discuss the status of developing vaccines, diagnostics, and treatment options, and examine harmful algae blooms in drinking water.
The Subcommittee on Environment and the Economy, chaired by Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL), has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Cyanotoxins in Drinking Water.”
