As a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I serve on the Middle East, North Africa Subcommittee and act as Vice-Chair for the Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations Subcomittee. Economic growth and infrastructure development in African countries, coupled wih the expansion of the Panama Canal, means more imports and exports moving through our ports on the Gulf Coast. Enhancing regional stability around the world also leads to greate security for our nation and economy.

Washington, D.C. – Last week, Iran was afforded another seven-month extension concerning their nuclear proliferation program. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

Res. 124, which would provide assistance, training, equipment, supplies and sustainment for Syrian rebels to defend the people of Syria from the Islamic State and to ultimately secure territory held by the Syrian opposition. Washington, D.C. – Today, the United States House of Representatives voted on House Resolution 644, condemning the Obama Administration’s failure to comply with the law which requires the President to give prior notice to Congress before a prisoner exchange.
