Washington, D.C. – Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) introduced H.R. 5665, the Clear the Air with Congress Act of 2014. This legislation would simply require that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) report to Congress on the impact of any new ozone regulations, as well as the data used to reach its conclusions, before it can propose such a regulation. It will also require that before the regulation can take effect, Congress would have to pass a law to implement it.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the United States House of Representatives voted on an energy package – The American Energy Solutions Act (H.R. 2), which passed by a vote of 226 to 191. The House also voted on a jobs package – The Jobs for America Act (H.R. 4), which passed by a vote of 253 to 163.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the United States House of Representatives voted on the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2014 (H.R. 24), which passed by a vote of 333 to 92. The legislation requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to complete an audit of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Reserve Banks within 12 months of the bill’s enactment.  It also requires the GAO to submit a detailed report to Congress of its findings and conclusions within 90 days of the audit’s completion.
