Information for Students

My office is pleased to offer several exciting opportunities for young adults within Indiana’s 9th Congressional District.

  • Each year I have the honor of nominating a select group of young men and woman from my district for admittance to one of the U.S. Military Academies. Candidates interested in applying  will find information on when and how to apply by clicking here.
  • My office is consistently seeking new interns for each of our three offices. Congressional internships provide a great opportunity for college students to learn the legislative process. We accept interns from outside of the Indiana’s 9th Congressional district, but college students with ties to the district are preferred. Interested applicants can find more information on internships by clicking here.
  • The 9th Congressional District proudly takes place in the annual Congressional Art Competition. High School students from across the district can submit their artwork to be hung in the Capitol building. One talented winner will be able to visit Washington over the summer to see their artwork and the other Congressional district winners from across the country! Students or teachers interested in this competition can learn more by clicking here.
