Stockman to Obama: Drop your plan to 'de-develop' US economy

WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) joined Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and 19 other members of Congress in a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to drop his proposed US-China carbon dioxide ban and instead work with Congress on the issue.

“Obama’s plan to drastically ban carbon dioxide in the United States is a job-destroying joke.  U.S. employers must adopt hideously expensive new rules, but China has decades before they must adopt rules we all know they won’t adhere to,” said Stockman. “Obama’s own science advisor has called on the U.S. to ‘de-develop’ our economy, and Obama’s carbon dioxide ban uses junk science to do just that.”
