WASHINGTON -- Veterans denied prompt care at Veterans Administration facilities would receive a voucher to seek care at any non-VA facility under legislation introduced May 29 by Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36).

“Government waiting lists are literally killing veterans.  If the government can’t deliver care veterans should be able to get their guaranteed care at a private facility,” said Stockman.

“The fatal problems within the VA are a product of the system itself.  You cannot fix the problem without reforming the system,” said Stockman.

WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman will introduce a resolution demanding President Barack Obama impose “harsh sanctions” on the Mexican government until they release U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi. 

“Mexico’s arrest and detention of Sgt. Tahmooressi is an unnecessary and inflammatory act.  It’s becoming clear the only way to bring Sgt. Tahmooressi home is for the U.S. government to threaten harsh sanctions,” said Stockman.
