Federal Grant Programs

At a time when state and federal funding for many programs is decreasing, it is important for local organizations to find creative ways to finance their operations. Congresswoman Velázquez has already helped bring hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grant funding to a variety of organizations in the 12th District. She can also help your organization access federal funds through her grant program.

Up-to-date information on grants is compiled and distributed monthly in Congresswoman Velázquez’s Grant Update. These reports are focused on grants that may apply to New York City non-profits, universities, community-based groups, faith-based organizations and small businesses. Please read the monthly Grant Update for the latest information on available funds.

In addition, Congresswoman Velázquez regularly holds grant workshops for constituents in the 12th District to help them learn how to apply for federal funding through the wide array of available grants. Please check back for notices of upcoming grant workshops.

If you have any questions about how your organization can participate in this important program, please contact Congresswoman Velázquez’s Washington, DC office at 202-225-2361.
