My door is always open to you, so please don't hesitate to stop by my office to visit with me and my staff. In addition, my staff can serve as a resource to you in booking tours for your trip. If you have any questions please contact my office at (202) 225-5911.
All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. For information on sightseeing and attractions, please visit my Washington, DC Tourism Information page.
For all tour requests, please begin by filling out the Tour Request Form

The United States Capitol

If you are interested in requesting a tour of the Capitol through my office, please begin by filling out the Tour Request Form
General admission tickets for the United States Capitol are available Monday through Saturday on a first come first serve basis.  Tickets are distributed beginning at 8:00 am, and tours are conducted from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
The White House
** Due to heightened security and a heavy demand for White house tours, availability for tours is very limited. The White House decides who receives tours and staff at the White house lead the tours. Our office places requests on behalf of constituents.Unfortunately, the White House does not offer tours between December 22nd and January 1st during the Holiday season.
Once you have submitted your Tour Request Form, the next step is to complete the required White House Security Form, located below.  Please complete the security form and email it as an attachment to ShermanTours@mail.house.gov.   Please note that the security form, as well as the request form, must be received before your request can be processed.

The United States Secret Service requires our office to collect security information for each person in your party prior to your arrival. If this information is not provided for an individual, that person will not be able to participate in the tour. Your information will only be used to process this tour request and will not be used for any solicitation or communication unless it is related to this tour.
White House Tour Guidelines:

  • Tours are not offered on Sundays, Mondays or Federal Holidays
  • Requests must be submitted at least one month in advance and no more than 6 months in advance: You are encouraged to send your requests in as early as possible since a limited number of tours are available.
  • Requests are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the White House does not inform Congressional offices about the status of tour requests until two weeks before the requested tour date.

Please note, all tours are subject to cancellation due to occasional security shutdowns.
For questions regarding tours please feel free to contact the Tour Coordinator in my office at 202-225-5911.
