Washington, D.C. — Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) issued the following response to President Obama’s unilateral immigration actions.
“Tonight, President Obama announced to America that he would disregard both our Constitution and the will of the American people.
“The American people resoundingly rejected the President's policies on the ballot just a few short weeks ago, and it is the American people who are sick and tired of a President who continues to unilaterally change our laws through executive orders and govern as if he is a monarch.
Washington, D.C.— Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) today sent a letter to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Harold Rogers and Ranking Member Nita Lowey asking them to prohibit funding President Obama’s intentions to unlawfully distribute work permits and green cards for illegal immigrants currently in the United States.

Matt Salmon (R-AZ), Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, will convene a hearing TOMORROW to examine the plight of U.S. Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi. The hearing is entitled, “Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi: Our Marine in Mexican Custody” and will begin at 10 am ET.
