Keystone XL: A Step in the Right Direction

The House returned to Washington this week and took an important vote to get our economy back on track by creating thousands of jobs all across the country.  Earlier today, we passed H.R. 5682 to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline.  The bill specifically authorizes the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of the Keystone XL pipeline and passed by a vote of 252-161.

I was proud to vote yes, and to join with members from both sides of the aisle in doing so.  After the gridlock that has plagued Washington for so long, it’s great to see bipartisanship once again.
