House App Contest

Are you a tech-savvy high school student who dreams of being the next Mark Zuckerberg? Do you have an idea for an awesome app?

Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger invites you to compete in his first-ever "House App Contest," which will recognize the student who designs the best original new software application, or "app" for mobile, tablet or other computer devices on a platform of your choice. The contest is open to all high school students in Maryland's 2nd Congressional District. Students entering the competition must submit their app’s source code online during the Competition Submission Period between 12 PM on FEBRUARY 1ST, 2014, and 11:59 PM on MAY 31, 2014, as well as provide a YouTube or VIMEO video demo explaining their app and what they learned through this competition process. All entries must be original in concept, design and execution.

Visit studentappchallenge.house.gov to confirm your eligibility and to register. Individuals submitting on behalf of teams must meet the eligibility requirements for individual Contestants.
