Ribble Praises Passage of Defense Bill Supporting The Littoral Combat Ship

Dec 4, 2014 Issues: Defense, National Security

Washington, D.C. - Today, The House voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act that included language authorizing an additional three Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). Congressman Ribble voted in favor of passage. Below is a statement from Congressman Ribble on the legislation:

"I’m pleased that Congress has recognized the importance and benefits of the Littoral Combat Ship vessel and chosen to authorize three additional ships next year. I’ve spent the past year educating and informing my colleagues about this important program and the hard work is coming to fruition with the authorization of these ships. This is a critical step for our national security, the Navy, and Wisconsin.  We have some of the best manufacturers in the world hard at work on the LCS and with this bill they will be able to continue their work."
