Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives join together to recognize the creativity of high school students through a nationwide art competition. Hundreds of competitions are being held around the country this spring, with the grand winner’s piece of art from each show traveling to Washington, D.C. where it will be displayed in the corridors of the U.S. Capitol. The grand winner from my district may also be eligible for a scholarship. I am pleased to have participated in this program that recognizes the rich artistic talents of young Americans.
