As the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are coming to a close, there are concerns that the drawdown could compromise the hard-fought progress in the overall Global War on Terror. It is imperative that we support policies that adequately fund our troops and that leave sufficient resources in Afghanistan to ensure that the Taliban doesn’t outwait us and increase its presence as soon as the last U.S. soldier leaves for home.
