Flag Requests

Home >> Constituent Services >> Flag Requests

My office and I are happy to provide constituents of the Fourth District of Texas the opportunity to own an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol. Please be aware that, due to the volume of requests, our office cannot provide these flags free of charge.

Buy American Flags from the District Office

If you would like to purchase a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, you may contact the District Office nearest to you.  My staff will be able to assist you in your purchase, and District Offices are able to accept payments for flags. This option is ideal if you do not have a specific date in mind you would prefer your flag to be flown.

Please note that completing a Flag Request Form is not necessary for purchasing flags through the District Offices.

American Flags Flown in Commemoration

Many people choose to have a flag flown over the Capitol in honor of someone, or to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, or special event.

If you would like to submit a flag request for a specific “fly date,” please use the Flag Request Form to submit your request electronically to my Washington D.C. office. After submitting the flag request online, please print out the request form to mail to my Washington D.C. office, along with a check for the price of your flag(s), made payable to "Ralph Hall's Office Supply Account."

Send your Flag Request Form and check to:

Congressman Ralph M. Hall
2405 Rayburn HOB
Washington, D.C. 20515-0001
Fax: (202) 225-3332

Due to the number of flag requests the Capitol must process, please allow four weeks for delivery.

Repairing Damaged Flags

Damaged flags can be repaired and utilized as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts, Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Posts, and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags.
