California is ahead of many states when it comes to health insurance coverage. Because it has embraced the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to its fullest potential, California is leading the way for a new era of accessible health insurance coverage. As a result of the Affordable Care Act, over a million and a half Californians now have new financial assistance to afford health coverage. Several local officials, including Sen. Richard Roth, D-Riverside, are holding town hall meetings Saturday, Aug. 24, to answer questions about the upcoming implementation of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.
Roth’s meeting will be held in conjunction with Rep. Mark Takano and Assemblyman Jose Medina, both D-Riverside. The 10 a.m. meeting is at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center, 4075 Frederick St.
