Appropriations & Funding Requests

President Obama released his budget priorities in February for Fiscal Year 2013, which can be found at http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget. Using President Obama's budget as a framework, Congress will begin its annual appropriations process.

In previous years, as part of the appropriations process, Rep. Eshoo invited public entities and community nonprofits to submit worthy projects in our Congressional District. However, like last year, there continues to be a ban for Member-requested projects, commonly called "earmarks."

Although Rep. Eshoo is unable to submit appropriation projects, she cares a great deal about ensuring that worthy projects in her District receive the federal support and attention they deserve. Rep. Eshoo hopes you will keep her updated on your important work.  If you apply for a grant or need help with a federal agency, Rep. Eshoo's staff will work with you to identify the best possible way to position your project for funding, or help you look for alternative funding options.
