Diane Calmus - Legislative Assistant

Diane joined Team Brady in 2013. She is responsible for several policy areas including healthcare, veteran’s issues, agriculture, and welfare programs. Prior to joining Congressman Brady’s office she worked at The Heritage Foundation working on health policy and economic mobility. Diane earned her JD from Michigan State University, and has degrees in psychology and mechanical engineering.

Aindriu Colgan – Legislative Assistant

Aindriu joined Congressman Brady’s office in 2012.  He is responsible for advising the Congressman in several areas, including energy and environmental issues, natural resources, and financial services.  Before joining Team Brady, he worked on the legislative staff of Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL).  Aindriu has a MSc. in International History from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and he graduated from Dartmouth College with an Honors degree in Economics and Classics. He was also a proud member of Dartmouth’s Varsity Heavyweight Rowing Team.

Tracee Evans -- Communications Director
 
After two decades chasing breaking news for KTRH, WOAI and the Texas State News Network as well as freelance reporting for ABC, the AP, the BBC, CBS, and many others, Tracee joined Congressman Brady's Team in 2008. A member of the Texas Bar, Tracee earned her JD from South Texas College of Law, her B.A. and M.A. in Communications from MSU, as well as dozens of local, state and national broadcast journalism awards. Tracee and her husband of 23 years are most proud of their daughters, a Texas A&M senior and a high school senior.

Lori Harju - Deputy Chief of Staff / Legislative Director
 
Lori joined Team Brady in 2011 and among the issues she works on are taxes, international trade and energy. She has 15-plus years of legislative experience on Capitol Hill working for Members of the House Ways and Means Committee and the International Trade Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce (under former President George W. Bush). She also successfully led two non-profit organizations to new levels of outreach and success. Lori earned her degree in Political Science from Michigan State University.

Ed Pérez – Senior Advisor

Ed joined Team Brady in 2013 and serves as Senior Advisor.  A seventh generation Texan, Ed grew up in Corpus Christi and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.  Previously, Ed was appointed in 2001 by Governor Rick Perry and confirmed by the Texas State Senate to serve as the executive director of the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations. He led Texas’ DC office for ten years (2001 -2011). After his tenure with the State of Texas, Ed was a government relations consultant in the private sector until joining Team Brady. Ed has also worked in the economic and community development fields at the state, county and city levels of government.  Ed lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and two children.

Janet Qureshi -- Director of Case Management

 
Janet has worked for Congressman Brady for more than two decades -- first in his state legislative office and now in his Congressional office. As Director of Case Management, Janet works with veterans and constituents who need assistance with Social Security, Medicare, Immigration and many other areas of federal government. As a former operating room nurse, her background in medicine helps to get to the bottom of medical concerns that our veterans, seniors and constituents may have. Janet is the proud mother of a Texas A&M and South College of Law graduate. Janet is also Team Brady's chef and frequently brings her love of cooking into the office.

Catie Fulton Spivey -- Deputy District Director

Catie joined Team Brady in 2014 and serves as Deputy District Director. Prior to joining Mr. Brady's staff, Catie worked both on the Hill and in the private sector. She worked for Congressman Michael Burgess of Texas and Congressman Joe Heck of Nevada, focusing primarily on healthcare issues, and served as Associate Counsel for a small healthcare consulting company based in Annapolis, MD. A member of both the Texas and Virginia bars, Catie graduated with a B.A. from Washington and Lee University and received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.  Catie and her husband, a native Texan, reside in Tomball, TX.

Todd Stephens -- District Director

Todd has been with Congressman Brady's office since January 2005. He first served as Legislative Assistant in the Congressman’s Washington, D.C. office and now oversees Texas District Eight's offces as well as working on important regional policy issues such as transportation, water resources and Hurricane recovery. Prior to joining the Brady Team, Todd served as a professional committee staffer at the Kentucky General Assembly. Todd holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Kentucky and a M.A. in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University.

Vita Swarers -- Case Worker
 
Vita has worked in Congressman Brady's Orange office since January 2008 after joining Team Brady from a Texas State Representative’s office. In January of 2013, Vita transferred to the newly expanded Huntsville office as caseworker for Houston,  Leon, Madison San Jacinto, Walker and Trinity counties. Vita helps resolve problems with federal agencies on issues relating to veterans benefits, social security, Medicare, immigration, and other federal programs.

Shana Teehan -- Press Secretary

A 7th generation Texan, Shana Teehan is Congressman Kevin Brady's Washington, DC-based Press Secretary. A proud mother of four, Shana is a true multi-tasker who brings a wealth of experience in media and public relations to the Brady team. Conservatives across the nation have benefited from Shana’s expertise and most recently, Shana served as Communications Director for the Alabama Republican Party. Her children, Molly, Alex, Jak, Sam, and of course, her husband, Tim, are excited about exploring our nation’s capitol as a family.

Christine Thompson -- District Scheduler

Christine Thompson is Congressman Brady’s district scheduler. She has an accounting background and several years of experience in customer service, office management and bookkeeping. A former small business owner, Christine brings a wealth of both office management and entrepreneurial experience to Team Brady.
