Washington, Nov 15, 2013 - Congressman Miller Wants Your Feedback About Obamacare

As many of you are aware, much of the focus here in Washington has been on the implementation of Obamacare and the impacts this new health insurance law has had on Americans.  Recently, there have been multiple reports that over one million individuals in California have received cancelation notices from their health insurance companies. This is unacceptable. Today, the House took action. I voted for the Keep Your Health Plan Act (H.R. 3350), legislation allowing health plans canceled under Obamacare to continue being offered. I would like to hear from you about your experiences with the new Obamacare health insurance law. You can share your experiences with me through the following link on my website.

Congressman Miller Celebrates Our Veterans

This week I had the honor of celebrating our nation’s veterans during the City of Redlands’ 125th Birthday Celebration and at the Rancho Cucamonga Veterans Day Celebration. Our nation owes an incredible debt of gratitude that can never fully be repaid to all the brave men and women who have served our nation. Day in and day out, our service members serve faithfully and honorably to protect our nation’s freedom. When their service ends, it is our duty to ensure they are honored for the courage and sacrifice they have made for our great country.  This honor extends far beyond parades and proclamations. To honor the brave men and women who devote themselves to our freedom, we must ensure they have the support they need to transition to prosperity in the civilian world, from adequate housing and health care to job and educational opportunities.

As your Representative, I have used my voice and my vote in Congress to support our nation’s members of the Armed Forces and our veterans.  In 2013, I supported a number of bills to assist our nation’s veterans and their families. Specifically, the House passed H.R. 2216, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, to ensure veterans have the resources necessary to receive adequate care and proper benefits for themselves and their families. In addition, I supported legislation focused on increasing economic opportunities for veterans and ensuring veterans have access to proper housing benefits.
