San Leandro is a diverse and active city next to the San Francisco Bay. With more than 85,000 residents, San Leandro is a magnet for business and a wonderful place to raise a family.  San Leandro has historically been known for its agriculture and its many food processing operations, as well as its breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. With the fastest broadband in the nation thanks to Lit San Leandro, the city is increasingly attracting new economic development, including many advanced manufacturing companies.

San Leandro has 12 public schools – 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools.  The city is also home to the Cherry Festival; a century-old tradition drawing more than 10,000 people annually to celebrate with neighbors, friends, and of course, cherries.  San Leandro also boasts eight miles of San Francisco Bay Shoreline and a network of parks and open space.
