Emeryville

Emeryville is a small town with a big history. Situated on the water between Berkeley and Oakland, Emeryville is a haven for entrepreneurship and home to more than 10,000 residents. Always a diverse and vibrant community, in recent years Emeryville has experienced a rapid growth in development, commerce and population.

Emeryville Amtrak StationThe City of Emeryville lies on the east shore of San Francisco Bay between Oakland and Berkeley, directly opposite the Golden Gate and San Francisco.  The city is small, just over one square mile, but its strategic location in the center of the Bay Area urban core at the confluence of several major freeways, one of the world’s busiest bridges, and transcontinental rail lines makes it a highly desirable place to live, work, and shop.  Even before it was called “Emeryville”, this place was recognized as an ideal location for settlement by indigenous people and the Spanish and Americans that followed them.

Businesses have taken note of Emeryville’s convenience and charm – the city is home to leaders in a wide range of industries, including bio-tech, advanced manufacturing, film and the burgeoning health food industry.  Emeryville is a regional heavy-rail transportation hub with transcontinental rail lines with service to Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
