BURNSVILLE – Minnesota Congressman John Kline today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released information on the 2014 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG).
“Our firefighters and law enforcement officers play a vital role throughout our communities,” said Kline. “The AFG provides our fire departments and emergency response services critical funds to improve firefighter health and safety programs. I encourage fire departments and other interested organizations to contact my Burnsville office for additional information on how to apply, and for consideration for a letter of support.”
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to urban, suburban, and rural fire departments throughout the United States. The application period opens November 3, 2014 and closes December 5, 2014.
Congressman John Kline serves as the Chairman of the Education and the Workforce Committee. He also serves on the House Armed Services Committee. He and his wife, Vicky, live in Burnsville.
