Congressman Bill Cassidy

Representing the 6th District of LOUISIANA

STEM Challenge

Congressman Bill Cassidy will be sponsoring a STEM Challenge for students in the Sixth District of Louisiana.  This contest will let high school students compete against each other to see who can create the best App.  Students can compete individually or in teams of up to four students.

To participate, you should visit http://StudentAppChallenge.House.gov to start your submission.  Students must provide YouTube or VIMEO video clips that explain how the App functions and then showing how it operates.  Additional information on what must be submitted with the video clips is available on the website and in the contest rules that are linked below.

Contest submissions are to be filed at the website listed above.  Submissions are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on April 30, 2014.  The winner of the contest will be decided upon by local computer experts and announced in May.

Please visit http://StudentAppChallenge.House.gov and http://www.challengepost.com to file your submissions.  You should also read the complete rules of the contest, which are available here.  Finally, a FAQ document can be read here.  Please call Candra Burges in our Baton Rouge office at (225) 929-7711 if you have any questions.  Thank you.
