Mental Health
We know that one of every four Americans will have a mental illness at least once in their lifetime. Investing in mental health services in our communities and early identification and prevention of mental illness will save both lives and money.
I am proud to introduce H.R. 4574, the Strengthening Mental Health in Our Communities Act of 2014 to increase access to community-based mental health services and strengthen our mental health system – asking more from existing programs and better outcomes for individuals and families impacted by mental illness.
