Iowa's First District

The First Congressional District of Iowa is made up of 20 Iowa counties, from Marshall County in the west to the Mississippi River in the east; from Poweshiek and Iowa counties in the south to the Minnesota border in the north.

Rolling farmland is the most distinctive physical feature of the First District, and corn and soybeans are the most common crop.

According to the 2010 Census, 761,548 people live in the First District.  Major cities include Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque, and Marshalltown.
