White House Tours
According to a White House Visitors Office announcement dated Friday, October 18, 2013, the White House plans to reopen limited tours of the East Wing and Executive Residence. The Obama Administration suspended all White House tours on March 9, 2013 citing budget limitations.
The White House now says it will schedule tour requests for Tuesday, November 5, 2013 and beyond. Tours previously scheduled for November 5 and later dates need not be rescheduled, but tours originally scheduled for dates prior to November 5 will not be rescheduled and new requests must be made. White House tours must be scheduled through Congressional offices.
If you are a resident of Oklahoma’s 1st District and wish to schedule a White House tour, please call my Washington, DC office at 202-225-2211. The White House will consider requests up to one week in advance of the tour date for tour dates in November, 2013. However, for tours scheduled for December 3, 2013 and beyond, tour requests must be submitted at least 21 days in advance of the tour date but not more than six months in advance.
The tickets are disbursed by the White House on a first come, first serve basis. Submission of a request does not guarantee tickets. In order for us to submit a request for a White House Tour, please give us the following information:
** White House tour requests require the following information for each person in the group: full name, birth date, place and country of birth, gender, city and state of residence, and Social Security number (for all U.S. citizens 18 and older only.)
