Minimum Wage Workers Strike

Low-wage federal contract workers in the nation's capital walked off their jobs Thursday to demand presidential action to win a $15 an hour living wage and a union. Sen. Bernie Sanders joined workers at the strike at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. "Here's the simple truth: In America, we have millions and millions of working people who are working hard but are not making enough money to put bread on the table or to take care of their kids," Sanders told the strikers. "That has got to end. If people work 40 hours a week, they should not be living in poverty."
