11:49 a.m. On a vote of 67-28, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Gerald Pappert to be a US District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

11:23 a.m. On a vote of 60-36, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Mark Kearney to be a US District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

11:05 a.m. On a vote of 65-31, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of David Hale to be a US District Judge for the Western District of Kentucky.

10:50  a.m . — On a vote of 53 to 42, the Senate confirmed the nomination of P. David Lopez to be general counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

On a vote of 93 to 2, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Charlotte Burrows to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
