Visiting DC

I hope you're excited about your upcoming trip to Washington. In hopes of making your visit to Washington, DC the best experience possible, I can request tours with several different attractions across the Washington area. This list includes the United States Capitol Building (with Senate Gallery passes), the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress.

Although my staff will work diligently to obtain any of these tours for you, it is important to note that many of the tours book months in advance, and we may not be able to schedule every tour that you request.

In hopes of getting around this potential problem, I recommend that you submit requests for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and Supreme Court three to four months in advance. Whereas the others might not be as difficult to schedule, it is always important to get in a tour request form at least two weeks in advance of your scheduled vacation.

It is my office policy that everyone requesting a tour fill out our tour request form. Please fill out the form and we'll begin working immediately on all of your requests.

I'll also send you a booklet titled "Welcome to Washington." This great booklet is filled with useful information related to all government buildings, historical attractions, and galleries, as well as a map of the city and a metro map. I hope that this will help you plan other activities during your visit to our nation's capital.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call my office at (202) 224-4623.
