Since 1802, many of America's finest students have sought to enroll as cadets or midshipmen at the nation's prestigious United States service academies. To apply to attend the Naval, Military, Air Force or Merchant Marine Academies students must receive a nomination from one of their Members of Congress.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and no more than 22 years old as of July 1st of the year of admission to a service academy. Interested Mainers should contact my office in the spring or summer of their junior year in high school. Nomination Application

   

We will begin accepting nomination applications for the class of 2019 on May 15th, 2014. Your completed application is due no later than October 31st, 2014. This year's second Service Academy Night is scheduled for September 16th at the Clarion Hotel in Portland. Representatives from various service academies will be on hand as well as staff from southern Maine's congressional offices.
