Granger, Ind. – U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today released the following statement on the loss of Army Staff Sergeant Matthew R. Ammerman, a Noblesville native who died Wednesday while serving his country in Afghanistan.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of fallen Army Staff Sergeant Matthew Ammerman, a native of Noblesville. Sergeant Ammerman was an American hero, and we are proud to call him a fellow Hoosier. We remember and honor his service and ultimate sacrifice.”
