Veterans' Resources
HELPING WITH DEPARTMENTS OF DEFENSE, VETERANS AFFAIRS
We owe our active duty servicemen and women and veterans a debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice. If you are currently serving our nation, are a veteran, or are a family member of a servicemember or veteran and are experiencing difficulty with the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs, Joe's office may be able to help you. Joe's office can help veterans and their family members receive medals and awards lost or owed to them, check on the status of VA compensation and disability benefits, answer questions regarding health care and education benefits, and connect servicemembers, veterans, and their families with state and local resources.
VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT
The U.S. Armed Forces have a rich history spanning generations of American servicemembers. Many veterans share their stories of battle, service, and camaraderie with friends and family, but these stories are too often not recorded. Joe wants to help preserve these stories by working with the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project, an effort to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
