(US SENATE)—Senator John Walsh today released the following statement on the passage of the bipartisan Veteran Access to Care Act:

“We have a duty to care for our service men and women both on and off the battlefield, and today my colleagues and I voted to uphold that duty. This bill imposes much-needed reforms in the VA while helping Montana provide top-notch services efficiently and effectively. The Commission on Care I secured in this bill will provide an independent review of the Veterans Health Administration and improve health care services. As a combat veteran, I am proud to support a bill that will help us honor our promise to America’s veterans.”

The bill passed the Senate by a bipartisan vote of 91 to 3.
