Walsh statement on Montana’s minimum wage increase

(HELENA, Mont.) Senator John Walsh today released the following statement after Governor Bullock announced that Montana’s minimum wage will increase to $8.05 per hour: “Increasing the minimum wage is an investment in Montana’s working families and in our communities. I’m proud that Montana is leading the nation by linking the minimum wage to the Consumer Price Index because it ensures that the minimum wage keeps up with increases in the cost of living. I’ll keep fighting to increase the minimum wage nationwide so that the minimum wage finally becomes a living wage.”
