(U.S. SENATE) – Senator John Walsh joined supporters of the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act to hike part of the Rocky Mountain Front and discuss his work to pass the bill.

Walsh was joined on his hike by Heritage Act supporters Mary Sexton, Len Kopec, Casey Perkins, and Randy Gray.

“The Front is one of our state’s greatest treasures,” Walsh said. "Montanans have hiked, fished, and hunted the Front for generations. Protecting Montana's unique outdoor heritage and access to our public lands is one of our biggest responsibilities.”

Walsh is a strong advocate for the protection of public lands in the Senate. Soon after coming to the Senate in February, he cosponsored the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act.

This summer, Walsh introduced legislation to prevent the sell-off of public lands and Montana's outdoor heritage. Walsh is also a cosponsor of the North Fork Watershed Protection Act and Senator Jon Tester's Forest Jobs and Recreation Act.
