Additionally, please note that requests should be submitted at least 3 to 5 months before your visit to D.C. Timely notice will increase your chances of booking advanced tours for these popular locations.

Capitol Building

Guided tours of the historic Capitol will introduce you to the magnificent building that houses our Congress. Visitors will see the Crypt, the Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. All tours begin and end at the Capitol Visitor Center. Weekend tours can be arranged by our office, however the tour will be led by a CVC representative and not a member of my staff.

White House

The White House has reopened limited, self-guided public tours of the East Wing and Executive Residence. Tours last 15-20 minutes and are offered Tuesday through Saturday. Please be aware that these tours are extremely popular and we ask for 4-6 months advance notice. Confirmation of the tour request occurs 3 weeks before your visit.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

As the U.S. Government's security printer, the BEP is responsible for the design, engraving and printing of all U.S. paper currency. You'll see millions of dollars being printed during a tour of the BEP. The tour features the various steps of currency production, beginning with large, blank sheets of paper, and ending with wallet-ready bills.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) tours are 45 minutes and available Monday through Friday. The BEP is closed on all Federal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Years.

Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the Nation for all cases and controversies arising under the Constitution or laws of the United States. In addition to the Courtroom, portions of the First and Ground Floors are open to the public. Highlights include the John Marshall Statue, portraits and busts of Justices, and two self-supporting marble spiral staircases.

The Supreme Court VIP Congressional Lecture Tour is conducted Monday through Friday except on federal holidays. There is a maximum of 6 people per tour.

All oral arguments are open to the public, but seating is limited and on a first-come, first-seated basis. No advanced arrangements are available. Before a session begins, two lines form on the plaza in front of the building. One is for those who wish to attend an entire argument, and the other, a three-minute line, is for those who wish to observe the Court in session only briefly. Seating for the first argument begins at 9:30 a.m. and seating for the three-minute line begins at 10 a.m. The locations for these lines are marked with signs and there is a police officer on duty to answer your questions. Oral Argument sessions begin October 7th, 2013.

State Department

The Diplomatic Reception Rooms of the Department of State, which are used for official functions hosted by the Secretary of State and other high level government officials, are open for pre-arranged tours at no charge. These rooms hold a premier collection of 18th century American furniture, paintings and decorative art. Guided tours are conducted Monday through Friday at 9:30am, 10:30am, and 2:45pm. Tours last about forty-five (45) minutes, and reservations are required approximately 90 days in advance of your visit. We do not recommend the tour for anyone under the age of 12

Treasury Department Building

The Treasury Department Building is the oldest federal department building in Washington, D.C., and when it was completed, it was one of the largest office buildings in the world. The tour includes a visit to the main Treasury Building, including the Cash Room, and the Salmon Chase and Andrew Johnson Suites. The Treasury Department offers a free hour-long tour of the interior of the building on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am, 9:45am, 10:30am and 11:15a.m. Please provide the name, date of birth, and SSN for each visitor in your request. Library of Congress

The Library of Congress offers many exciting activities. Entrance to the Thomas Jefferson Building is free and open to the public. The Library of Congress offers hour-long tours Monday through Saturday.
