Flag Requests

Constituents can request to have a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to commemorate a special occasion or event. A flag certificate will accompany the flag, verifying that the flag was flown, and optional information you may submit via the form (such as the name of the recipient and/or the occasion for the flag to be flown). Please allow our office at least a month to process your request and about 6-8 weeks after it was flown for delivery. Flags are flown daily year-round, weather permitting excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
