Sen. Levin's office will be closing at the end of the year. We will only be able to accommodate requests to have a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol through November 30, 2014. Please submit your flag request and mail in your check no later than November 1, 2014, to ensure your order can be completed. Thank you.

Through my office, you can purchase an American flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol. With your flag, you will receive a certificate stating the date the flag was flown and for whom, if applicable. Please note that the Flag Office does not fly flags over the U.S. Capitol on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.  

With four to six weeks advance notice, you may request a specific date for the flag to be flown over the Capitol to commemorate a special occasion. However, please submit your request no more than six months in advance of your requested flying date, or please postdate your check to within six months of your requested flying date. We cannot process checks dated older than six months. Your check will be cashed approximately two weeks before the flag is flown. Please allow three to four weeks for delivery after your flag has been flown over the Capitol.

Flags are available in cotton or nylon and are available in three sizes: 3 x 5, 4 x 6 and 5 x 8.  Flag prices range from $10.00 to $23.00. For each flag there is also a $5.00 certificate and flying fee and a $4.00 postage fee.

You may purchase a U.S. flag without having it flown over the U.S. Capitol. If you choose not to have it flown over the Capitol, you will not be charged the $5.00 certificate and flying fee. Please limit your request to no more than 10 flags.
