Senate Democrats to Host Rural Summit, Former Agriculture Secretary Glickman to Keynote

Senators will highlight Democratic Caucus’ dedication to revitalizing rural America

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee (DSOC) will be hosting its 2nd Rural Summit, an event that solely focuses on rural America on April 25th in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room G-50. The Summit, chaired by Senators Mark Begich (D-AK) and Mark Pryor (D-AR), is a half-day event that includes two panels with Democratic Senators. The first panel, moderated by Agri-Pulse’s Sara Wyant, will focus on the rural economy, and the second panel, moderated by National Journal’s Jerry Hagstrom, will be on rural infrastructure and access to critical services. Former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will give the keynote address, and the Summit will conclude at 12:30pm.
