Resources and Information for Those Affected by Floods in Minnesota
Recent high rainfall has flooded many areas in Minnesota. Sen. Franken has toured Southern Minnesota to see the damage firsthand. Gov. Dayton has declared a State of Emergency in 35 Minnesota counties, and Sen. Franken stands ready to assist if the Governor requests federal assistance. Sen. Franken has also asked his staff to be fully available to help in whatever way they can.
For now, these resources should be helpful to Minnesotans all across the state:
- For the latest updates and other resources from the State Emergency Operations Center, visit: https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/hsem/seoc/Pages/default.aspx
- Please check 511mn.org for updated travel advisories. The public should respect advisories from local authorities regarding areas that are unsafe for travel.
Farmers who are worried about crop damage should contact their local Farm Service Agency official.
