The theme of my 2013 "predictions" piece was that this is going to be a year of "disruption" across many elements of the value chain. I'd like to delve a little deeper into a discussion of business models and pricing, where I think we will see both disruption to prevailing structures, and experimentation around new forms of monetization. AT&T adds 780,000 postpaid subs in Q4, sells record 10.2M smartphones
AT&T Mobility posted strong postpaid subscriber net adds of 780,000 in the fourth quarter but its overall subscriber additions were down year-over-year. AT&T reported wireline revenues of $14.9 billion, down 0.5 percent year-over-year, but up 0.7 percent sequentially due to strong consumer and strategic business services growth.
