June 16, 2010
WASHINGTON, D.C — U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), recently received the Benjamin Franklin Public Policy Award from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) for demonstrating unwavering support for a free market and leadership on behalf of NAMIC members, insurance consumers, and the property/casualty insurance industry.
“I am honored to receive this award from NAMIC,” Inhofe said. “Having worked in the insurance industry myself, I appreciate the work that the organization does in promoting free market initiatives.”
“NAMIC is honored to present Sen. Inhofe with this award,” said Jimi Grande, NAMIC’s senior vice president of federal and political affairs. “His understanding and support of the insurance industry has helped to successfully protect the free and open market environment that has existed since Dr. Franklin started that first successful mutual insurance company.”
