Constituent Services

Help with Federal Agencies

One of the most important constituent services offered is assisting Wyoming residents in dealing with federal agencies. Many constituents contact our office when they have a problem with an agency of the federal government -- such as not receiving a Social Security check, a dispute with the Internal Revenue Service, or a problem with their Veterans benefits. Five caseworkers are assigned to more than 44 different federal agencies to try to solve problems brought to our attention.

If you are a Wyoming Resident and are having problems with a federal agency, please contact a district office in your area. Refer to the following Office Locations for the office nearest you. In order to make an inquiry on your behalf, under the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974, I must have formal authorization from you before seeking disclosure of your records.

This authorization may be made either by sending a letter requesting assistance and outlining the nature of your problem, or by printing, filling out, and mailing the Privacy Release Form. The letter or form must be signed by the person whose case is in question.

To expedite your case, please include the following information: name(s), mailing address, home and daytime phone number(s), Social Security Number, documentation from the agency including correspondence and other information relevant to your case.

Please send either the letter or the form to the Casper office (see address below).
