Thank you for your interest in the 57th Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony, which will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013, on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol. We have already had overwhelming requests for tickets. Our process for requesting tickets will close Thursday, December 12th at 12:00 noon.Given the large volume of requests, a lottery will be conducted to award tickets once the request period closes.
Our office will contact you no later than Tuesday, December 18th as to whether or not your name was drawn in the lottery. If for some reason, you have not received notification from our office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18th, then please contact us by phone at 202-225-2731 or Wednesday, December 19th no later than 5:00 p.m.
Please
note that submission of the request form does not guarantee ticket
availability. Because the number of tickets our office is able to
distribute is limited, each individual may request no more than four
tickets. Everyone in your group, including infants, will need a ticket. Tickets
will not be distributed to Congressional offices until the week before the
inauguration and must be picked up, in person, by a member of the group.
Please note that you are able to view the ceremonies on the National Mall without a ticket.
