Roll Call Votes

A roll call vote guarantees that every Member's vote is recorded. You can search this archive of recorded to votes to see how I and other representatives voted on different bills.

Understanding Roll Call Vote Records:

Roll call vote reports show how every Member of Congress voted on each piece of legislation brought to the House floor for a recorded vote.

Roll call votes are listed by session of Congress (we are currently in the 1st session of the 112th Congress), and by the date each bill was voted on.

Visit the link above and click “roll” for the particular bill for which you would like to view the voting record. The record will include a list of Members who voted for (yeas) and against (nays) the bill. At the top is a breakdown of yeas and nays by party affiliation. Note that Representatives whose names are italicized are Democrats, while plain-script names are Republicans. At the very bottom of the roll are the members who did not vote.
