| Terry Statement on 11th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks |

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE) today released the following statement:
“No matter how much time passes or how many years go by, we will never forget the day our country changed forever. “Today, on the 11th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11, we pause to remember those who fell that day. Let us also celebrate the spirit of our nation as American’s from across this great country came together saying ‘I want to help, what can I do’? By their service, sacrifice and heroic actions, we were able to turn a day of tragedy into a day of unity. That is what is so tremendous about our country; no matter how horrific the event may seem to the rest of the world, we as a people will always rise above it. “We will never forget this solemn day. We will remain united by continuing to show the true character of America and how strong we are as a nation. We will never let this happen again. This is our legacy.”
