As a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, I participate in Committee meetings and take votes on issues of importance to Central Florida. This page is designed to help you learn more about my work in Congress and about actions taken by the House of Representatives.

To create jobs, a bill to rein in out-of-control bureaucratic regulations that stifle the ability of small businesses to grow our economy and create jobs.

A bill that ends the smoke and mirrors that Washington has used to cloak its addiction to spending and to bring sunshine and accountability to our federal budget.

A bill written based on my discussions in Central Florida to provide small business owners the tools and incentives necessary to revitalize our stagnant economy and jump-start overdue job creation.

A bill to create opportunities for home-ownership by making it easier for families to save towards their first home.

To help small businesses grow, a bill to repeal the costly 1099 paperwork requirement from last year’s health care bill.

To cut red tape and protect jobs, a bill to force the EPA to do a jobs cost-benefit analysis before imposing further job-crushing rules and regulations on families and businesses.

A bill to protect homeowners by preventing regulators from reclassifying their mortgage if they are current on their payment.

A bill that would freeze any new taxes on your cell phone or mobile device for the next 5 years.

To lessen the pain at the pump and decrease our dependence on foreign oil, legislation allowing for the responsible development of American oil and gas in Alaska.

A bill to ensure America’s credit worthiness to our investors in the event of a default on the debt limit.

A bill upholding your 2nd Amendment right to purchase firearms so long as all applicable state laws are followed.

A bill to provide the opportunity for school choice.

A bill to return unused Congressional office budgets to the Treasury to pay down the debt, rather than allow other offices to use these funds to support their overspending.

Legislation condemning the President’s decision to disregard his constitutional responsibility to enforce the duly passed laws of the land.

Legislation to strengthen and secure lawful firearm possession rights taken from American citizens in Washington, D.C.

Upholding our promises to our men and women in uniform with legislation to ensure that members of the armed forces continue to receive pay for active duty service should the government shut down.
