Gardner drops off boxes of used cell phones to help victims of domestic violence

GREELEY, COLO. – This week, Congressman Cory Gardner (R-CO) dropped off boxes of used cell phones to benefit victims of domestic violence.

“The outpouring of support for this drive has been so incredible we’ve decided to do it annually,” Gardner said.  “People from all over the district have stopped by our office to drop off their old cell phones, which will now be used to help victims of domestic violence stay connected to family and friends as they rebuild their lives.”

All of the used cell phones that were collected have been donated to HopeLine from Verizon Wireless.  Phones that are too old to be refurbished will be recycled in an environmentally sound way.
