    "Saving" Medicare by keeping people from getting Medicare is the wrong way to go. Raising the Medicare eligibility age to 67 would take health coverage away from 270,000 seniors, and it would force businesses, local governments, and these seniors to pay thousands more for health care.     Today, I signed a petition calling for the House of Representatives to immediately vote for tax cuts for the middle class. House Republicans continue to threaten the average middle class family with $2,000 more in taxes unless millionaires and billionaires receive a tax giveaway that they don’t need and our country can’t afford. Instead of hostage taking, we should agree to what we agree on: a tax cut for the middle class.
