Help With Federal Agencies

Dealing with federal agencies can often be time consuming and frustrating. My staff can assist you in your dealings with federal agencies.

We cannot require an agency to decide a matter in your favor. However, my offices can help you get fair and timely consideration of your problems. We can help in the following areas:

• Taxpayers: IRS problems and other federal tax concerns.
• Senior Citizens: Social Security, disability, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid and federal pension problems.
• Employees: Federal worker's compensation, EEOC, and Americans With Disabilities Act inquiries.
• Students: Federal Financial Aid information
• Volunteers: Peace Corps
• Veterans: VA claims and military service problems.
• Immigrants: Immigration, asylum and citizenship inquiries.
• U.S. Citizens Abroad: Visa, passport and State Department inquiries.
• Postal Customers: Mail delivery and service problems.
• Home Buyers: FHA, VA and Rural Economic and Community Development loan application problems.
• Small Businesses: SBA loan application problems, federal regulation inquiries and 8(a) certification information.
• Consumers: FTC Credit reporting information and credit fraud inquiries with the Federal Trade Commission

How Can I be of Service to You?
I want to assist the residents of the 12th Congressional District with problems and concerns you have with the federal government. While my staff is experienced and dedicated to assisting constituents with these issues, we have no authority in the decision making process.

What I cannot do for you:
My staff is prohibited by state and federal law from providing legal advice to constituents. If you need legal advice, you should consult a lawyer.

Federal Government
Before I can proceed with efforts to assist, you will need to complete a Privacy Act Release Form. The Privacy Act of 1974 requires members of Congress and their staffs to have written authorization from individuals before inquiring on their behalf.  We also need copies of all other materials related to your case.

After receiving your Privacy Release Form and other information, we will contact you as soon as I receive a response from the federal agency.
